Midreshet Aviv was founded in 1996 Where the Great Rabbi Yaakov Ariel Shlita who is the Chief Rabbi of Ramat Gan is the president, and Rabbi Yair Ben Shetrit is the headmaster. Midreshet Aviv is a regional religious center for young women who live in Tel aviv area who want to pursue Judaic studies and to strengthen their religious and spiritual aspects, each according to her abilities and time. Midreshet Aviv programs range from one day per week to a full study week. About 400 young women attend the college, which operates according to the doctrine of Rabbi Kook: To increase the study of the Torah in Israel and to enhance good relations and friendship among people.
Midreshet Aviv is in Nahalat Itzhak, a quiet and pleasant Tel Aviv neighborhood that is minutes from Israel’s major travel routes. Program participants enjoy living in a family-style atmosphere and appreciate a sense of belonging and influence in the community. Nahalat Itzhak has three large synagogues, a higher education yeshiva, and a religious center for National Service volunteers
